Are Boiled Eggs Good For Weight Loss?

Eating hard boiled eggs are good for weight loss because of the lean protein source it offers the body.  On most nutritious meal plans and lists of approved weight loss foods, egg whites are a common denominator.  Egg whites are extremely lean, contain little to no fat, and are high in protein which also aids in weight loss.  In fact, some researchers and bodybuilding experts report that egg whites are the perfect lean protein source for weight loss because of their properties.

In one large egg white, there is only 16-18 calories and 0.05 grams of fat.  There is no saturated fat and no cholesterol. Each egg white consists of up to 4 grams of protein.  For weight loss efforts, most people add 2-4 egg whites into their meal to ensure they are getting enough protein and nutrition.

The calorie content is so low, that eating a number of hard boiled egg whites can be quite nutritious and filling.  However, the yolk is not the most nutritious part of the hard boiled egg because it is high in fat, cholesterol and saturated fat.  It is best to stick to the white part of the egg than the yellow.

When boiling eggs it is easy to remove the yolk after the egg has been peeled.  Egg whites are a great protein source to add to the diet menu and will help you lose those unwanted pounds.
