Are Grapes Fattening?

Grapes are not fattening, but can actually help you lose weight if eaten in moderation.  Grapes contain few calories and zero fat, but they are high in natural sugar so should not be overeaten if on a strict diet regimen.

Grapes are a wonderful source of vitamin C which works to boost your immune system.  They contain plenty of other vitamins and nutrients that keep you healthy and your immune system operating at a functional level.  If you are working out, eating right and trying to lose weight, grapes are a wonderful food to eat as a snack.

Grapes are convenient and can be kept at your desk during the day. Since they don’t contain any fat and are low in calories they are a good weight loss snack.  In fact, bodybuilders consume grapes regularly because they are so low in calories yet filling.  The fruit fills you up while stabilizing blood sugar and keeping the metabolism balanced.  You won’t gain weight eating grapes in moderation.

As with any food, overeating can cause harm.  While you probably won’t gain weight if you overeat grapes, you may spend a lot of time in the bathroom because of the high level of fiber found in a bunch of grapes.  Eat them in moderation and enjoy the benefits of this juicy fruit.  Grapes come in a variety of colors and none of them are fattening.
