Sunflower seeds can be very good for you and even though they contain some degree of fats, they are not considered fattening. Sunflower seeds contain nutritious and healthy fats that promote weight loss as well as cholesterol level reduction and a health heart.
They are extremely high in essential fatty acids or EFAs which your body requires in order to maintain a healthy weight. You cannot get EFAs from any other source than food. Your body does not make EFAs and requires them to keep your weight level stabilized because they actually metabolize fat.
Sunflower seeds are a healthy snack that is not fattening. You can munch on sunflower seeds in between meals without the risk of gaining weight if you combine them with an otherwise nutritional meal plan.
